The object of activity is the collection, classification and analysis of relevant information, management of the survey and data collection, construction of the database, processing and analysis, transcription of interviews; project secretariat. "Media Regulation in Portugal: The ERC´s Case"

IAMCR'10 presented in Mexico



The 28th annual conference of IAMCR ended last July 24, in Mexico City, with the presentation of the university and the country that in 2010, will receive the next edition (University of Minho, Braga, Portugal).
The Director of the Communication and Society Research Centre, Manuel Pinto (see speech and powerpoint), and the Head of the Communication Sciences Department, Helena Sousa accompanied by the president of the Association, Annabelle Sreberny (left in photo), presented the proposal to general theme (Communication and Citizenship), logistics and details about the event's visual identity.

This unit is a permanent research structure affiliated with the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho. It was created in September 2002 to provide an institutional framework for integrating the growing body of research and the increasing number of researchers in the Department of Communication Sciences. CECS aims to promote and strengthen the status of Communication Sciences within the framework of Social Sciences; to develop research on Communication Sciences within the Portuguese Speaking Countries; and to reinforce relations with similar organisations in Portugal and abroad.
