New CECS publication: “Publi-city and urban visual communication”

The “Publi-city and urban visual communication” ebook is available in free access, a work coordinated by Helena Pires, CECS researcher, and Francisco Mesquita.

The publication brings together diverse texts on many of the enumerated dimensions of Publi-city and urban visual communication. “From urban art and fashion, to urban art in its relationship with the places of habitation, to creative strategies of strategic communication, calling the values ​​of participation and citizenship, to the implications of new technologies in the urban advertising landscape, public practices in the urban space and the perceptions about the transformations in the public space, expressed, especially in the context of an exploratory interview, there are multiple contributions and looks that are juxtaposed here, composing rhythms of analysis, observation and reflection syncopated with one another”, as we can read in the ebook’s introduction.

Both coordinators of the Advertising Working Group of Sopcom (Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences), the editors of this ebook “hope that the readings will please everyone who works, study, teach and research in the areas of advertising and communication urban visual”.

The ebook also counts on the contribution of two other CECS researchers: Ana Melo and Pedro Andrade.
