Next Monday, the 25th, at 4 pm, the Observatory for Science, Communication and Culture Policies (POLObs) promotes another session of the Permanent Seminar, this time on “Internet Regulation Policies”, with researcher Marina Polo (CECS/POLObs).
In this edition, the guest will address the issue of net neutrality, inserted more broadly within the scope of Internet regulation and governance. It is through parliamentary speeches about net neutrality, in Portugal and Brazil, that the researcher will reflect on Internet regulation policies.
Marina Polo is a doctoral student in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society, at the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) of the University of Minho. She is finishing a thesis entitled “Net neutrality: a critical approach to discourses in Portugal and Brazil”.
The event will be broadcast via Zoom.
