Rogério Christofoletti will be at the ICS Sala de Atos on 13 November, starting at 2:30 p.m., to present the lecture ‘Journalism in crisis: ethics, quality and credibility.’
A professor and researcher in the Department of Journalism at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil, Christofoletti works in the fields of journalistic ethics, credibility, transparency, privacy, media criticism, misinformation, AI and crisis in journalism.
He has had a long career in journalism, press relations, and editing scientific publications (Estudos em Jornalismo e Mídia, é-compós, among others).
He was one of the founders of the Observatory of Journalistic Ethics (objETHOS).
Since 2010, he has been a productivity researcher at CNPq and a consultant-reviewer for CNPq, Capes, and Fapesc.
He also serves as director of Qual-i, the Information Quality Laboratory at UFSC, and is a member of the Ethics Council of Agência Lupa.
