Agenda 2030: new stage of PolObs project promotes capacity building of cultural agents in Brazil

The first stage of the Brazil 2023 mission of the project “Culture and Development: Networked Cultural Projects and the 2030 Agenda”, developed by the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) Observatory of Policies on Science, Communication and Culture (PolObs), will start next Monday, 27. During three weeks, Manuel Gama, PolObs coordinator and researcher responsible for the project, will promote the training of professionals from the Brazilian cultural sector.

In this first stage, in joint action with the Research and Training Centre of Sesc São Paulo and Sesc Santos, the workshops “Culture and the 2030 Agenda: contributions for the decade of action” will be streamlined. The objective is to raise awareness and train professionals and organisations in the cultural sector on the importance of cultural projects aligned with the 2030 Agenda.

Alongside the workshops, Manuel Gama will promote a seminar on cultural networks at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (PUC-Campinas), on February 28, at 6.30 pm. It is addressed to researchers working in the cultural area and undergraduate and postgraduate students of the University.

The mission in Brazil will also encompass work in the months of July and September 2023.
