The Galeria do Paço, in the Rectorate of the University of Minho, hosts until June 23, the “2nd eMMA – Exhibition of the Master in Media Arts“, featuring a dozen audiovisual works of the course students of that course. Admission is free.
The exhibition’s opening was attended by the artistic director of the gnration space and the Braga Media Arts initiative, Luís Fernandes, and, on behalf of UMinho, by Felisbela Lopes, the head of the Department of Communication Sciences, Luís António Santos, the director of the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS), Daniel Brandão, the director of the master’s degree, João Martinho Moura the coordinator of the “Laboratory Project in Media Arts II” (the discipline developing the works this academic year), and by the students.
The Master’s in Media Arts was established in 2021 to strengthen the centrality of UMinho in Braga’s cultural and creative plan, which since 2017, has been part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. This master’s program is a collaboration between the Institute of Social Sciences, the School of Engineering and the School of Architecture, Art and Design of UMinho. It is supported by Braga Media Arts and gnration.
