Ana Melro: new Ph.D. in Communication Sciences

On March 7, at 2:00 p.m., in the Institute of Social Sciences, took place the Ph.D. proceedings in Communication Sciences of Ana Isabel Gomes Gonçalves Melro.

The thesis, directed by Sara Pereira, is entitled “The (dis) interest of young people for the present: study on the role of the media in information about the world”.

The jury, chaired by Helena Sousa, is composed of:

– Manuel Joaquim da Silva Pinto, full professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;

– José Manuel Perez Tornero, full professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona;

– Maria Cristina Mendes da Ponte, associate professor with aggregation of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa;

– Sara de Jesus Gomes Pereira, associate professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho;

– Adelino Clemente Gomes, associate researcher at the Research Center for Sociology Studies at the University Institute of Lisbon;

– Maria Elsa da Costa e Silva de Morais, assistant professor at the Department of Communication Sciences of the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho.
