Anselmo Belém Machado: new PhD in Human Geography

On July 21st, at 2:30 pm, took place the doctoral exams in Human Geography by Anselmo Belém Machado.

The thesis, supervised by Miguel Bandeira and Flávio Nunes, has the title “Socio-spatial segregation in an urban context. A comparative study between Braga-Portugal and Aracaju-Brazil ”.

The jury, chaired by Paula Remoaldo, was composed of:

– Mário Gonçalves Fernandes, Associate Professor, Department of Geography, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto;

– Paulo Nuno Maia de Sousa Nossa, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography and Tourism, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Coimbra;

– Flávio Paulo Jorge Nunes, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;

– Maria José Boavida Miguel Caldeira, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho;

– João Luís Figueiredo da Silva, Invited Assistant Professor, Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo.
