Article in the journal Comunicação e Sociedade honoured with the Paquete de Oliveira Award

“A New Form of Precarity (of Practice)? Professional Deskilling at the Centre of the Hijacking of Quality in Journalism” is the article in the journal Comunicação e Sociedade that secured third place in the Paquete de Oliveira Award. Tiago Lima Quintanilha authored the awarded paper.

This prestigious award pays tribute to Professor José Manuel Paquete de Oliveira, born on October 20, 1936, who was recognised “for his contributions in advocating for communication sciences, promoting principles of transparency and neutrality in journalistic work, respecting citizens, and upholding the rules of democratic pluralism in the media”.
