A debate on “The (in)visibilities of gender violence: Brazil and Portugal” will take place on April 5, starting at 4:00 p.m., in the Laboratory 007 of the ICS (UMinho). The Brazilian researchers from the UFMG – Federal University of Minas Gerais Bruno Souza Leal, Paulo Bernardo Vaz, Elton Antunes and Carlos Alberto de Carvalho will participate in the initiative, being moderated by Carla Cerqueira (CECS). Two documentaries will also be screened: “Partir do Zero” [“Starting from Zero”] and “No Devagar Depressa dos Tempos” [“In the Hurry of the Time”].
This debate is part of the presence of Brazilian researchers at the CECS, during the week of April 3-7, to participate in working meetings with the objective of the establishing of an agreement between CECS and UFMG, in order to develop a new partnership, similar to what happened between 2014 and 2015, in which both parts were the protagonists of the project FCT-CAPES entitled “Flow and death: theoretical and methodological challenges around the ‘media event'” coordinated in Portugal By Moisés de Lemos Martins and, in Brazil, by Paulo Bernardo Vaz.
