The FCT Doctoral Programme in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society promotes, on Friday, March 15, an open class entitled “WhatsApp e Bolsonaro, Twitter and Trump: why do we get on so well?” with Professor João Carlos Correia (UBI).
The lecture will take place at 10:00 am, at the Engineering Auditorium II, at the University of Minho, in Braga. On occasion, the effects of the media and the impact of social networks on the emergence of populist leadership will be discussed.
João Carlos Correia holds a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences from the University of Beira Interior where he is Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and Arts. Currently, he is also the editor of Estudos em Comunicação, the responsible researcher at Remedia.Lab – Regional Media Laboratory and Incubator and vice-coordinator of SOPCOM’s Communication and Policy Working Group.
