This Monday, April 8, at 10.15 pm., the University of Minho was the scenario of the debate “A Hora da Europa” [The Hour of Europe], promoted by TSF. The initiative is part of a series of four sessions that TSF is developing in four Portuguese universities.
The candidates António Marinho e Pinto (Independent), João Pimenta Lopes (PCP), José Manuel Fernandes (PSD), Margarida Marques (PS), Marisa Matias (BE) and Nuno Melo (CDS) participated in the debate, which was live broadcasted between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon on the station. After that, the debate was opened to public participation, continuing to be transmitted online at www.tsf.pt.
European elections take place on May 26 and Portugal elects 21 MEPs to an assembly composed of 705 seats.
The TSF initiative has the support of the European Parliament and, at the University of Minho, of the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS), the Institute of Social Sciences (ICS) and the Academic Association (AAUM).
