CECS has ongoing complementary training courses addressed to students of the four editions of the PhD FCT in “Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society”. On February 23, the first session was held in the ICS-UMinho’s Sala de Atos, entitled “New media and digital sources for research on communication within current transcultural network societies”, with the trainer Pedro Andrade. Up to June, three more actions are planned: “Reflexivity and scientific practice”, with Manuela Ivone Cunha (March 22), in the small Auditorium of the UMinho Education Institute; “Publication and Knowledge Transfer”, with Rui Sousa Silva (May 13), in the ICS Sala de Reuniões, and “Bibliographic research, citation standards and digital reference management (Endnote/Mendeley)”, with Alberto Sá (2 June), in the ICS-UMinho Sala de Atos.
These initiatives are intended to support FCT PhD students in “Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society”, which has the financial support of FCT/MCTES (Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education) and the European Social Fund through Operational Program of Human Capital (PO CH).
