CECS and the University of Minho are joining Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade da Beira Interior in organising the cycle of talks ‘Cities, Data and Journalism’.
The first meeting will take place in Lisbon, with the motto ‘A city built with data’, on 26 February (18:00, NOVA Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities), followed, on 27 March, by UMinho (Institute of Social Sciences), with ‘Open government data: challenges and applications’, and ending on 29 April at UBI (Faculty of Arts and Letters), with the talk ‘Data journalism in Portugal: Realities and Perspectives’.
The Cycle of Talks is organised by Isabella Moura and Ana Sofia Paiva (ICNOVA/Obi.Media) and Cláudia Dominguez (CECS/UMinho).
This initiative has the support of ICNOVA, the Media Innovation Observatory (Obi.Media), the Media Policies, Regulation and Economy WG – SOPCOM, in partnership with PolObs of CECS/UMinho and the Communication Laboratory (LABCOM) of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Beira Interior (UBI).
