The first session, “Doctoral College UMinho: Conversations on Ethics in Research”, was held on October 22. Devoted to the topic “Methodological Reflections on Racial Issues”, the session was attended by Ana Rita Alves (CES, UC) and Cristina Roldão (ESE-IPS/ CIES-IUL).
The event, which promoted debate between PhD students, researchers and teaching staff of the University of Minho, sought to reflect upon the challenges and ethical concerns raised by research methodologies addressing the issue of race.
The Doctoral College UMinho, within the scope of its activities, plans to develop several initiatives promoting integrity and academic ethics in doctoral training. This session was supported by the Communication and Society Research Centre.
