The conference “Challenges faced by families and their social protection in the era of global mass migration”, with Vida Česnuitytė, will be held on October 6 at 3 p.m. in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences. The session will be commented on by Paula Dourado and moderated by Emília Araújo.
Vida Česnuitytė is a lecturer and researcher at Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania. Throughout her career, she has taken part in various international projects and is currently particularly involved in the sociology of migration. She has worked extensively in the field of the sociology of the family. Among many other publications, she is co-editor and co-author of the book “The sharing economy in europe: developments, practices, and contradictions”, published by Palgrave.
Paula Dourado has a PhD in Sociology from the University of Porto and specialises in regional development and public policies. She works in international relations and local and regional cooperation for development and is a researcher at CECS/UM.
This is an action associated with the curricular unit Project Seminar, of the Doctoral Programme in Sociology, and integrated within the scope of the action COST/CA21143 – Transnational Family Dynamics in Europe (TraFaDy).
