On November 15 and 16, 2016, the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho hosted the international congress “Transnational Cultural Cooperation Networks: A look at the lusophone reality” that took place in the framework of the post-PhD “Transnational Cultural Cooperation Networks: European Portuguese, Lusophone and Ibero-American”, supported by FCT under the reference SFRH/BPD/101985/2014, being developed in Portugal (CECS-UM) in Spain (FCC- USC) and in Brazil (ECA-USP). This initiative is part of the activities of the Observatory of Cultural and Artistic Policies (CULTART).
In addition to the lectures given by Danilo Santos de Miranda (Director of the Social Service of Commerce São Paulo, Brazil) and Ramón Villares (President of the Consello da Cultura Galega, Spain), the congress had a set of twenty communications framed in five thematics (“Cooperation and Communication”, “Tecendo Redes”, “Lusofonias?”, “Cooperation and Internationalization” and “Cultural Cooperation in Practice”) which are considered as substantive contributions for reflection in the present and future intervention in the field of cultural network management.
