Between 13 and 17 July 2026, the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho (Gualtar Campus), in Braga, Portugal, will host the 5th CIMDAB 2026 — International Congress on Migration and the Brazilian Academic Diaspora and the 2nd EDUMIGRA 2026 — International Conference on Education and Migration.
Under the theme “Portuguese-Speaking Mobilities in Perspective: Networks, Flows and Migratory Dynamics”, the event will foster discussions on international migration, education, Portuguese-speaking mobilities, the Brazilian academic diaspora, reception, academic recognition, public policy, science, technology, innovation and institutional cooperation.
The programme includes round-table discussions, technical sessions, book launches and associated activities, and also incorporates RIDAB 2026, RIOMIGRA 2026 and OBSERVACPLP.
The conference brings together more than 40 national and international institutions, with participation from universities, research centres, international organisations, public bodies, research foundations, observatories, diaspora networks and diplomatic missions.
Online registration is free and all registered participants will receive a certificate.
