Last October, 22nd, Moisés de Lemos Martins was awarded the Gold Insignia by the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC). The session was held in the Salón de Graos of the Colexio de San Xerome of the USC.
This recognition is awarded to “personalities who stand out for services provided to the institution, both for their longevity and for their special relevance”. It reflects the dedication of the CECS director to projects and research activities in the field of Communication and Sociology of Culture, in collaboration with this university of Galicia.
Margarida Krohling Kunsch, professor of the University of São Paulo (Brazil), received the USC Golden Insignia together with the director of the CECS.
The event was presided over by the Rector of USC, Antonio López, who underlined the symbolic and meaningful character of an event that recognises the distinguished service and stable and long-term collaboration of the honorees with the University of Santiago.
The ceremony was attended by the teaching and research staff of the USC Faculty of Communication Sciences, the centre that promoted the recognition of both honorees. Margarita Ledo Andión, representing this faculty, highlighted the role of Moisés Martins and Margarida Kunsch in teaching and research.
Rui Vieira de Castro, the rector of the University of Minho, also attended the event, highlighting the value of the relationship between both universities.
