The new volume of the journal Comunicação e Sociedade focused on “Digital Platforms in the Connected Economy: Discourse, Control, Consumption and Collaboration” and edited by Rodrigo Ribeiro Saturnino, Helena Sousa and Jack Linchuan Qiu has just been released.
This volume of the CECS journal focuses on various studies on different approaches to digital platforms. On the one hand, they are essential means of consumption and arena for the emergence of collaborative social practices; on the other hand, they can also represent new mechanisms for surveillance and the production of performative discourses in an increasingly connected economy.
