PhD in Sociology from the University of Minho, Luísa Alexandra Martins Fernandes was today awarded the “António Dornelas 2019 Prize”, reflecting the quality of her doctoral research produced at the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS).
Luísa Fernandes developed her doctoral dissertation “Organizational action and quality of life. A comparative study in the Euroregion of Northern Portugal and Galicia in the field of mental disability”, under the supervision of Carlos Veiga, professor of the Sociology department at UMinho and CECS researcher.
The “António Dornelas 2019 Prize” is for scientific or technical work prepared by students, researchers and university teachers in the areas of work, employment, vocational training and labor relations, social security and solidarity, as well as the inclusion of people with disabilities.
