Closing Meeting of the PhD in Communication Studies

The Closing Meeting of the PhD in Communication Studies: Technology, Culture and Society took place on 15 December. Dedicated to the topic “Science and language policies, scientific publication and academic rankings”, the event had two plenary sessions. Manuel Heitor, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education, was present at the closing session.

During the day, several researchers were invited to give their contribution on the topic: André Lemos, from the Federal University of Bahia, Anabela Gradim, from the University of Beira Interior, Antônio Hohlfeldt, from PUCRS of Porto Alegre, Joseph Straubhaar, from the University of Austin, Paulo Peixoto, from the University of Coimbra, José Bragança de Miranda, from the NOVA University of Lisbon, Paulo Serra, from the University of Beira Interior, and Moisés de Lemos Martins, from the University of Minho.
