The meeting of SOPCOM’s Semiotics Working Group will be held on 13 June in the Sala de Atos of the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Minho.
The theme of this event is ‘What is Semiotics for?’ and it seeks, through a ‘questioning and detective-like gaze’, to understand and discuss the realities raised by the Anthropocene/Capitalocene and the complex processes of remythification that we are currently experiencing.
Also in the words of the organisers, ‘In the form of experimentation and conversation circles, with open access, this meeting aims to provide participants with a series of sessions in the form of playful workshops, where the imagination, as a way of expanding creative thinking and
perception, will be challenged to join critical and provocative thinking.’
