As part of an Erasmus exchange program, Antonio García Jiménez, a Full Professor at Spain’s Rey Juan Carlos University, visited the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS). During his stay, Madalena Oliveira, the director of CECS, interviewed him.
The discussion mainly focused on Journalism and covered various topics within the scope of the Spanish scholar’s research subjects. Antonio García Jiménez addressed the concept of “digital vulnerabilities” and emphasised the current societal significance of journalism for young people. It was also with young people in mind that he reflected on the future of journalism and explored potential approaches to align journalistic resources with the expectations of younger generations.
