Interview with Pedro Chamusca: “Geography does not remain enclosed in Universities”

Pedro Chamusca, an assistant researcher at the CECS, is the new president of the Portuguese Association of Geographers (APG), elected with 90% of the votes.

In a brief interview, he reflected on the connection between his role as a researcher and as president of APG. According to the researcher, “Geography does not remain enclosed in Universities”, so he will try to promote the dissemination of research inside and outside the academic universe.

With this result, Pedro Chamusca succeeds António Bento Gonçalves, also a researcher at the CECS.
