Belén Galletero, professor and researcher at the Faculty of Journalism at the Castilla-La Mancha University in Spain, will spend four weeks at CECS as part of her research into the transition from print newspapers to the digital environment.
Asked about her choice by the Communication and Society Research Centre, the researcher said that she chose it because it is a “recognized center of prestige”, with researchers of interest and with whom “share knowledge”.
Belén Galletero recently defended her doctoral thesis and comes to Portugal to deepen her knowledge about the local media and to understand how this transition is being made in Portugal. For that, she joined the researcher, Pedro Jerónimo, with whom she will work not only in Braga but also in Coimbra and Leiria.
In an interview, Belén Galletero said that “we are in a moment of transition, in a period of evolution in which the media are changing” and left some key ideas on her research topic.
