The Monastery of São Martinho de Tibães, in Braga, was the place chosen for the first meeting of the Working Group on Intercultural Communication of the Portuguese Sciences Communication Society (SOPCOM), on October 4.
Carla Cerqueira, Isabel Macedo, Lurdes Macedo, Rosa Cabecinhas and Vítor de Sousa were some of the CECS researchers who were directly related to the organization of the meeting. Communicating Diversity was the theme of the event, which brought together stakeholders from various areas of civil society. Present were researchers from various universities in the country, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations, associations and magazines, the journalists’ union, the Portuguese Regulatory Authority for the Media, the Network for the Downturn in Portugal, among other participants.
