On February 27, at 9:00 am, the training “Colonialism vs. Post-colonialism: Deconstructing myths from the Portuguese historical narrative”. This is a Short-Term Action (ACD) held at Escola Secundária D. Maria II, in Braga, taught by Vítor de Sousa, Sheila Khan and Pedro Rodrigues Costa.
The recipients of this action are the teachers of History and Portuguese of the 2nd and 3rd cycles of basic education and secondary education, respectively from Recruitment Groups 200, 210, 220, 300 and 400 (training in the scientific and pedagogical area – speciality area).
The contents will be taught by CECS researchers, with the following distribution:
Sheila Khan – Colonialism vs. Post-colonialism: Racism, social activism and historical reparation;
Vítor de Sousa – Transnational and transcultural identities. Lusophony as a post-colonial look and as an intercultural possibility;
Pedro Rodrigues Costa – History textbooks: a luso tropical look?
To proceed with the registration, you must first register on the platform of the Braga/Sul Training Center, logging in, if you have not already done so. The second step is to enrol in the ACD. Look for the ACD’s name “Colonialism vs. Postcolonialism: Deconstructing myths from Portuguese historical narrative”.
