The election results of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) were announced yesterday. Helena Sousa, a researcher at CECS, was one of those elected to the International Council.
In this election, Nico Carpentier was elected president of the Executive Board, being accompanied by Andrea Medrado, Gerard Goggin, and Elske van de Fliert.
Helena Sousa, who will be part of the International Council, was the candidate who obtained the highest number of votes (432), followed by Claudia Lago, Claudia Padovani, Anna Gladkova, Stefania Milan, Usha Raman, Eno Akpabio, Sandra Ristovska, ChangFeng Chen, Chika Anyanwu, Fiona Martin, Tawana Kupe, Sinikka Torkkola, Denize Araujo, and Tom Jacobson.
Manuel Pinto was part of the Electoral Commission, together with Beate Josephy and Robin Mansell.
