1st PolObs Meeting on Local Cultural Policies

PolObs is organising the 1st PolObs Meeting on Local Cultural Policies on December 12 at 2.30pm at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão (Small Auditorium). To mark the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974 and on the way to the 50th anniversary of the first elections to elect local bodies after the Carnation Revolution, which took place on 12 December 1976, this platform is organising the ‘Meetings on Local Cultural Policies’, which will always take place, in a decentralised way, on 12 December and 12 June of each year, from 15h00 to 18h00.

The 1st PolObs Meeting on Local Cultural Policies, which will take place in the municipality of Portimão on the occasion of the Centenary Celebrations of Portimão’s Elevation to City Status, seeks to reflect on the importance of local authorities in cultural policies. The aim is for these meetings to be a real sharing of experiences between local agents, with each meeting having a theme as a backdrop.
