The scientific program for the III International Congress on Cultures: Interfaces of Lusophony is already available with the distribution of the parallel sessions by time and by thematic session. The event will be held at the University of Minho from November 23 to 25, 2017 and is the result of a partnership between the University of Beira Interior and the Federal University of Bahia, on an organization of CECS (Communication and Society Research Center) of the University of Minho.
The conference will provide six plenary sessions and several parallel sessions whose goal is to promote the interdisciplinary debate about key subjects in the Cultural Studies and Communication fields, from cultural diversity, Portuguese language, science policy and science communication, digital literacy, communication, arts to popular culture. Researchers from European and Portuguese-speaking countries will be present, particularly from Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde and Mozambique.
The congress will count with Tomas Jane, from the Mozambique Higher School of Journalism, Armando Jorge Lopes and Eliseu Mabasso, both from Eduardo Mondlane University, as keynote speakers.
