The Municipality of Valongo, which closed the celebrations of its 180 years of existence on November 28, decided to honor 79 natural citizens of that county for contributions given in various areas in cultural, associative, socio-educational and sports. The CECS researcher Manuel Pinto, where he coordinates the Research Group on Media and Journalism, was one of them, for his academic career and for studies on the Festa of Bugiada and Mouriscada, which has an investigation project underway at CECS.
Manuel Pinto is Professor at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Minho and was director of CECS. He is specialist in Media Education area.
