Ana Claudia Nepote is a Ph.D. in Sustainability Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She is a graduate of the University of Guadalajara and a Master of Marine Ecology from CICESE in Ensenada, Baja California. Since 2012, she is an associate professor at the National School of Higher Studies, Morelia Unit, UNAM. Participates, as a teacher, in the courses of Environmental Sciences and Science of Sustainable Materials of ENES Unidad Morelia.

Her research focuses on environmental communication, particularly on issues related to sustainability, anthropocentric and biodiversity. Ana Claudia Nepote seeks to study the relationships between science and society and how they shape different cultures about science and the environment.
