PhD, with Aggregation and two post-doctoral studies in Literature, she is a Professor and Director of the Degree in Literature at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon.
Director of several cultural institutions (Academia Lusófona Luís de Camões, Portuguese Writers’ Association, Fernando Pessoa Institute, Observatory of the Portuguese Language), research groups of research units (CLEPUL, European Institute of Cultural Science, etc.) and member of national (Portuguese Academy of History, Literary Guild, Society of Geography of Lisbon, etc.) and foreign scientific institutions (CIMEEP – International and Interdisciplinary Centre of Epic Studies, CREPAL – Centre de recherches sur les pays lusophones and others).
As Literature is the object of her reflection, she has approached it from an inter-artistic perspective, scrutinising the dialogue between the arts.
