Annalisa Quintão

Annalisa Quintão, born in Italy, is a Researcher, Lyric Singer and also a Primary School Teacher.

She graduated in Lyric Singing in Italy, having developed a substantial concert/musical activity outside
and inside Portugal. She specialized in Theatrical Singing (Postgraduate) and in Professional Music
Education (Masters) teaching in several Portuguese Conservatories and Professional Schools.

Later, she obtained a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Minho and is currently a researcher
at the CECS (Center for Communication and Society Studies) at the same University.

Her research is fundamentally focused on motivational factors in the socio-educational context and
identity representations of musical folk traditions in Portugal.
