Bárbara Dutra is a PhD candidate in Geography and Territorial Planning at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FCSH) at the New University of Lisbon. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Oceanography (2012) from the University of Vale do Itajaí (UNIVALI) and a Master’s degree in Geography (2017) in the concentration area: Use and Conservation of Natural Resources, from the Postgraduate Programme in Geography (PPGGEO) belonging to the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).
From 2014 to 2016, she was a fellow of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES-DS). She was also a member of the Laboratory of Applied Climatology (LabClima), Department of Geosciences, Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). She has participated in several scientific congresses and events. She is interested in Physical Geography and Geographic Climatology, especially with themes related to natural disasters, risks, extreme events, climatology and climate change.
