Beatriz Gomes Pinto is a student in a master’s degree in Geography, in the specialization area of Risks and Civil Protection, at the University of Minho. From the same institute, she concluded, in 2023, the degree in Geography and Planning.
Her main research interests are natural and anthropic risks, climate change, urban buildings and infrastructures, and urban planning. Throughout her academic formation, she has been developing some research, with a subsequent publication, mainly on understanding the impacts of risks on local communities and outlining mitigation and adaptation measures and actions.
She currently holds a research grant under the InPUT project – Engaging Places and Communities for Inclusive Peri-Urban Transitions, at the CECS (Communication and Society Research Centre), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
