Berta de Sousa has a degree in Law and in Sociology of Organisations from the University of Minho, specialising in Sociology of Health. She has Advanced Training in Public Management from INA. She teaches Strategic Human Resources Management and Coaching at ISEF.
She is Vice-President of UGT Braga. She is also a member of the National Secretariat of SINTAP (Union of Workers in Public Functions and Publicly Owned Entities) and the Executive Committee of the Northern Regional Section, coordinating the Health Commission.
She is a senior legal technician in the public health sector.
She is in the second year of her PhD in Sociology at the University of Minho, and the subject of her research thesis is the legal and labour configurations of work in the health sector in Portugal.
