Born in 1991, in the city of Barcelos, Catarina Bessa Rodrigues has always been interested in the areas of communication and writing. During her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences at the Catholic University of Portugal, she began to dedicate herself more to cinema and audiovisual, an area in which she specialized in his master’s degree in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho.
She worked in several companies, in digital marketing, and as a teacher of Video and Digital Content Production, at IPCA. Since 2025, she has a PhD in Communication Sciences from the University of Minho, with a thesis entitled “Witches, elves and sorceresses: Female representations in fantasy cinema”. She continues her research work on cinema and representations today.
