PhD candidate in the Graduate Programme in Urban Development at UFPE, where she also completed her master’s degree. She is a member of LiArq – Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Architecture: Psychoanalysis, Phenomenology and Imaginaries, where she researches the relationships between migration and the city, focusing on forms of symbolic appropriation of spaces. She holds a degree in architecture and urbanism from UFPE, having completed a sandwich period at Università Roma Tre (Italy) through the Science Without Borders programme.
She is conducting doctoral research on Brazilian immigration in Portugal and the symbolic relationships established in urban and architectural spaces, completing a sandwich period at the University of Minho, where she deepens her interest in the connections between mobility, culture and the city.
Her career is marked by an interdisciplinary approach with a particular interest in articulating the fields of architecture and urbanism, social sciences and urban anthropology. She has also worked in human rights policy, with an emphasis on coordination with rights guarantee networks and social movements.
