Cláudia Cunha holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Minho (2026), where she also completed a BA in Sociology (2016) and an MSc in Human Resource Management (2019). Between 2021 and 2025, she was awarded a PhD scholarship by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Between 2017 and 2021, she was a member of the Portuguese team of the European study “Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe” (SHARE), where she currently performs research and operational management duties. Her work is situated within the Sociology of Ageing and Health, with a particular focus on the social determinants of cognitive function in the European population.
She has published in international peer-reviewed journals in the fields of ageing, cognition and public health, primarily drawing on longitudinal data and quantitative methodologies, including systematic reviews with meta-analysis.
