Cláudia Dominguez is a PhD student in Communication Sciences at the University of Minho. She researches data journalism and is currently developing the thesis “The path of data in Digital Journalism: human interference in the data pipeline”. To the academic activity, she also includes work at the Observatory on Science, Communication and Culture Policies (POLObs) of the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS), participating in projects and scientific studies in the areas of Science, Communication and Culture.
She has a degree, and a master’s in Communication, with a specialization in Journalism. For 18 years in Brazil, she was a journalist, working in radio, television, and online media. She also developed audiovisual scripts for the ABC Federal University, São Judas University and Senac/SP. She simultaneously worked as a teacher in Higher Education for 14 years, teaching Journalism, Cinema and Audiovisual and Advertising.
