Daniel Catalão has a PhD in Digital Media from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maia and the Coordinator of the Communication Sciences Degree. He teaches Television Journalism and Cyber Journalism.
Furthermore, he is a Journalist / Host at RTP (Portuguese Service Media), a specialist in new technologies and the Internet, and the author and host of the TecNet program. His primary focus lies within television journalism and the use of digital tools in journalism, such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the integration of smartphones as instruments fostering creativity and challenging current paradigms. Additionally, combating disinformation falls within his area of expertise.
