Elton Bruno Pinheiro holds a PhD in Communication and Society from the University of Brasília (2019). He completed a postdoctoral degree in Communication Sciences at the Center for Communication and Society Studies at the University of Minho (2022-2023). He holds a master’s degree in Communication and Audiovisual Media Cultures (2012) and a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (2009) from the Federal University of Paraíba. He is an Integrated Assistant Researcher at the Center for Communication and Society Studies at the University of Minho. He is a lead researcher at the Ibero-American Observatory of Public Media Services Research Project and coordinates the Center for Studies, Production and Innovation in Sound Language, where he has developed scientific research on sound media and its relationship with practices for the quality/integrity of information and media literacy. He regularly teaches: Sound and audiovisual journalism, public communication, communication and contemporary technologies and communication policies.
