Lecturer in the Sociology Department at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho, Emília Araújo, is a PhD in Sociology Sciences, in 2005, from the University of Minho. Currently serving as vice-president of the ICS, she is a former director of the Master’s Degree in Sociology in the same institution.

She teaches in methodologies, culture and technoscience and has been researching the sociology of time, mobilities and science. She was the Principal Investigator of the project “Mobiscience- trajectories of Portuguese researchers and knowledge
circulation.

She is a member of the Portuguese Sociology Association and IAMCR, coordinating the Portuguese Association for Time and
Society Studies.
