Full Professor at FCHS, Fernando Pessoa University, member of the Centre for Global Studies, the Circle for the Study of Centralism and INfAST; member of the Board of Directors of Cooperativa Árvore and vice-president of the Centre for Regian Studies. As a professor and researcher, she collaborates with other higher education institutions in Portugal, Latin America, especially Brazil, and various European countries.
She co-operates with various city councils, particularly Porto, where she is a member of the Municipal Parliament and a member of the Toponymy Committee.
Research areas: Cultural Journalism, Ecocriticism, Modern and Contemporary Literature and Interarts. She is the author of numerous publications, particularly in the last two areas mentioned.
