PhD in Sociology (2009), in the field of Education, Science and Technology, by the University of Brasília (UnB), Janara Sousa is a Invited Lecturer in the Communication and Organizations Graduation Degree and in the Masters Degree in Communication at the UnB. She is currently in the CECS to carry out a Post-Doc research project intitled “Internet Governance in Brazil, Portugal and Spain: similarities and differences”, supervised by Elsa Costa e Silva.
Member of Lapcom (Communication Policies Laboratory), she studies present features of Internet governance, communication law. information and freedom of expression and the Information Access Law.
Janara Sousa has published “Net bias: uma abordagem teórica sobre a construção e o equilíbrio de uma rede comunitária de comunicação” and “A participação das assessorias de comunicação do GDF na aplicação da Lei de Acesso à Informação“, both with other authors.
