Joana Pinto completed her degree in Civil Engineering (2008) at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Later, concurrently with her professional activity, she completed her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (2013), a branch of Construction Management, at the same academic institution.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in Geography – Geography and Regional Planning Branch, at the University of Minho and works in the Urban Management division of a local authority in the Porto Metropolitan Area.
