João Bartolomeu Rodrigues is an Assistant Professor at the School of Human and Social Sciences, at UTAD (University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro). In this institution, he was a member of the Pedagogical Council, a member of the Assembly and a member of the Senate.
Currently, he is a member of the Arts and Communication Arts Department Board; an integrated member of the Communication and Society Research Centre; Founding Member of the Portuguese Language Philosophy of Education Society; founding member of MUNDIS – Civic Association for Training and Culture; member of the International Editorial Board of ERAS – European Review of Artistic Studies and member of the International Editorial Board of RIESA – International Journal of Education, Health and Environment. He is also an evaluator of the Cadernos de Educação, Tecnologia e Sociedade (Brazilian Journal of Education, Technology and Society) for the years 2020 – 2021.
His main area of research focuses on cultural sciences, although his interests are spread across multiple fields, covering issues directly related to education, history and Portuguese culture.
He is the author of an extensive bibliography, where his name appears as author and co-author of some books and multiple articles published in national and international journals.
He has been part of the direction of several courses at UTAD, from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles. He has participated in the organization of international events, such as festivals and multiple congresses, circumscribed within the scope of culture, education and the arts.
