José Casquilho (José Armando Pinto Casquilho) holds a PhD in Forest Engineering/Applied Mathematics from the Higher Institute of Agronomy of the University of Lisbon (1999). He is the director of the Unit of Education and Scientific Research of the Postgraduate and Research Program and Acting Vice-Rector for the Post-Graduation of National University Timor Lorosa’e since January of 2016.
His main areas of investigation are: Mathematical Theory of Information, Semiotics, Landscape Ecology and Anthropological History. He is a collaborative researcher at CECS (University of Minho) and ICNOVA (New University of Lisbon).
